Youth Works Workshops

Theater Works is proud to present "Youth Works" Workshops. Our workshops are a great place for newly aspiring actors to learn the craft. Although we setup our workshops for beginners and intermediates, we also encourage experienced young folks to come by, sharpen their skills, prepare for upcoming auditions, and build on their existing talent and know-how.

While we're happy to recognize the achievements of young actors, we also strongly encourage them to continue developing their skills in a professional environment where they are challenged presented with new personal growth opportunities.

Showtime Production Workshops

Youth Works KidsNot ready to audition ?
Here’s how it works:
If your child wants to get started in theatre or wants to get more training/performance experience then Youth Works Showtime is the place to go! You will get cast in the play, rehearse and perform in a professional production in the McMillin Black Box Theatre or on our beautiful main stage at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts!

The Frog Prince(Main Stage)
Ages 8 to 17
Adapted from the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, The Frog Prince combines slapstick, movement and comedy with the story of a young prince who has been turned into a frog by an evil witch. Add to the cast of characters a young princess whom no one can understand because she, too, lives under a witch's spell, three crazy frogs, a solemn king and a silly court jester.
Workshop Begins: March 23rd (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm to 6:30pm) Performances on our MAIN STAGE: May 11th and 12th at 7pm

We also offer: Saturday Acting Workshops, Touring shows, outreach and incredible summer camps!
