Character Breakdown:Theater Works and Algonquin Theater Company are holding their 2008-2009 General Season Auditions for the following shows:

Theater Works (all parts are available): Oklahoma, The Perfect Party, A Little Mischief, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Miracle on 34th Street, Premiere, Crime and Punishment, All My Sons, Sweeney Todd

Algonquin Theater Company: A Few Good Men, Proposals, Driving Miss Daisy

Prepare: EVERYONE must bring 2 copies of their headshot and resume. For musical auditions, prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo song, 16 bars of a ballad, and a 2-minute monologue. An accompanist will be provided. For straight play auditions, prepare 2 contrasting monologues totaling no more than 4 minutes. You must schedule appointments for both days if you are auditioning for both the musicals and straight plays. Immediate callbacks will take place for Oklahoma, The Perfect Party and and A Few Good Men. All other callbacks will be throughout the season.

Auditions for Youth Shows at Theater Works
When Auditioning: You must bring a picture of yourself and resume (optional). Be prepared to do cold readings from the script, improvisation and movement. For musicals: please bring a prepared two minute song with c.d. accompaniment or sheet music. You must be age 8 to 18 (unless other wise noted) *Audition dates are tentative, call ahead.
